, Toyota 4Runner. Not so know older GM cars Buick regal, Buick Riviera, Oldsmobile Cutlass, Chevy lumina. Chevy Monte Carlo, older Chevy Camaro, certain years Pontiac firebird Trans Am. Saturn Brand some of those vehicles. Avoid the early 2000 Subaru they have head gasket issues. Anything after that in Subaru is usually good. There much more like diesel Mercedes Benz from the 80s.

Cheap maintenance

These cars require little or cheap maintenance, nothing special. Some of these cars you can actually neglect for a while, and they'll be okay. Though I would not recommend it. The engines will last 300.000 to 500,000 Miles. The diesel on the Mercedes engine will last longer. But it will be more expensive to maintain because of the parts from Germany. Of course, I think the cheapest of the cheap would-be old Chevrolet or GM vehicles trucks with V8 engines. But they are a bit hard on gas.

How to make your vehicle last?

Depending on if you have a truck or a car or four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The simplest thing is changing your oil. But if you want to take it a step further change your oil every 2000 miles. With your automatic transmission change the oil every 20000 miles. Don't forget to service your differentials front and rear and transfer case. I would say to service them every 30000 miles. As long as they don't have any defects in them, they will last.

Make sure you get a good price.

Make sure you shop around and look at the different prices. Know what you want. Make sure you get something that fits your needs. Don't buy something you don't need. Negotiate the price with someone try to get a better deal. See if they're willing to come down in the price. Start the car. Make sure it's smooth. Make sure the A/C works. Look at the paint and look for defects, rust etc. Then negotiate the price.
