Why should you buy a fourth gen Toyota rav4?
Will for starters its proven already. You don't have to worry about too much. everything's would have shown itself already. It's at a lower price now. You do have to pay full sticker price. You just have to figure out how much you want to pay and how many miles. Look around and see the prices in your area. Sometimes if you go to another state, you can find a better deal.
Relatability
So, the only thing you see a lot of problems in them is timing chains. The Variable valve timing sprocket. Also called VVT. If you don't change the oil it will clog up the tiny ports in them. So, it will chatter. Usually the intake side of the motor. Also, sometimes the transmission will go. So. make sure you service it every 20000 to 30000 Miles. It will last a lot longer if you do. O and sometimes the starters go to so don't forget about it.
The best trim type.
I would say the best trim type is the one made in Japan. The vehicles made it the USA or Canada do not hold up as well. For instance, the paint will not last as long in vehicles not made in Japan. I come down to everything from even parts don't hold up as long. So, if you can get one made in Japan it's the best one. The parts are sometimes a little more expensive.
Platform
It's basically a Toyota Camry. But All wheel drive. The drive train is the same as the Camry. The motor and the transmission are the same. So, you can expect the same reliability form it. But you can do some off roading with it. Not hardcore but you can go off road. Think of it as a lifted Camry. Remember to service the rear differential. Change your coolant to. If you don't it will eat the head gasket material. The Coolant

becomes acidic.
